Balance – The Key To Living Your Best Life!
Achieving balance in our lives is not just about finding equilibrium between two opposing forces, it’s more than that and can impact our personal and professional lives greatly.
It seems that everyone struggles with finding balance at some point in their lives. Imbalance can occur in your personal life in your relationships or your health, or it can be in your professional life with your job, career or entrepreneurial and business endeavors.
No matter where it shows up, it has the ability to not only adversely affect us directly, but also touch those around us on the home front or in the work place. It can also negatively impact our goals – and ultimately the success we desire for ourselves, our families, our work and our future.
Let’s take a closer look at balance and your health, and how having it can help you become a better you!
Balance and Your Well-Being
Attaining balance is not about feeling high or low and seeking the middle for stability, it’s about looking at a variety of dimensions in our lives to see how we’re handling them.
For example, when it comes to your health, are you actively pursuing proper nutrition, regular exercise, adequate rest, and self-care; or are you taking your health for granted? With respect to your relationships, are you giving your best to the people who matter the most, or are you only doing the minimum for them, yet expecting them to be there for you when you need them?
Often, we don’t think about it or consider it at all, yet balance can have a profound impact on how we’re living.
Designed to Perform!
When we’re out of balance in our lives, we may be able to exist day-to-day, but we’re not functioning effectively or efficiently in order to be at our best. It’s like an unbalanced tire on your car. It may technically work by rolling, but it isn’t performing the way it was designed to if it’s not in balance.
Without proper balance, you’ll get unwanted issues like uneven tire wear, reduced fuel economy, unnecessary vibrations in the car while driving, and steering problems – just to name a few. The same is true for us when our lives are out of balance, but the signs and symptoms are different.
By not attending to your own balance, undesirable results can occur. You may be able to exist and function, but not truly live and enjoy the life you want.
Without appropriate balance your stress levels can needlessly increase, you can become disengaged, stop caring, get out of shape, and lose enthusiasm for the wonderful things life has to offer. Without the joy and excitement that comes from living a balanced life, you can become inconsistent, less effective, begin to procrastinate, and not start or complete projects – all of which impact your own success.
These can negatively impact your personal and professional relationships, individual health, work performance, goals, dreams and ultimately your life.
Your Best Self and Best Life
So what does it mean to be your best self – or live your best life?
We may have heard the phrase in terms of self-improvement or have seen it on a bumper sticker, but may not have stopped to think about what it means for us. … In other words, we may have given it a little thought and then dismissed it just as quickly.
This is an important idea that definitely warrants a deeper look. It means to live up to your human potential and utilize your individual gifts so that you can become the best version of yourself while you’re here!
Your best life, or becoming the best version of yourself, is a lifelong journey of countless miles with wonderful adventures and incredible stories.
It’s about being getting into balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually – and doing your best to stay there because it allows for peak performance!
It’s taking deliberate action to harness your power and unique abilities to accomplish the goals you’ve set for yourself. It’s the resolution to live from possibility and with purpose.
Human beings are born with unlimited potential! We all have it from the moment we’re born and it’s an absolutely natural feeling to want to realize our full potential. So, why is it so hard?
The Benefits of Coaching For You and Your Team
There are a number of contributing factors that can challenge our outlook, our self-awareness, our energy, and our overall zest for life. There are many internal and external influences in our lives that affect us and shape the way we think about ourselves, others, the future, and our lives in general.
Unfortunately, not all of these influences are positive, uplifting and encouraging and can adversely impact us, exacting a toll on our life and our potential.
The good news is that life is not short on providing lessons and even the seemingly undesirable experiences can be very useful in their own right.
If you can identify what may be blocking you or preventing you from seeing and living your full potential, then you can take action to address these roadblocks in order to move forward.
